Chris Zilich, Incorporating Director & Vice President
A native of Pittsburgh, PA, I realized the importance early on of experiencing other communities across the country as well as internationally. Obtaining my undergraduate degrees in Florida and devoting 20 + years of my career in Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs for drug safety - I have lived in Raleigh, NC; Seattle, WA; Boston, MA; and finally Bath, ME where our family intend to call home for at least a few generations!
I am a parent pack leader of local Cub Scouts Den 621 in Bath, and both my 9 and 3 year old sons respectively have come to love the existing playgrounds and trails of the surrounding area. Their one wish is for a local public splash park for seasonal water play, and I hope their dream becomes a reality with the help of community alignment and engagement.
During my very scarce free time as a remote biotech team leader and committed father, I am also an avid cyclist like John. Sports are a big part of my fitness and social well-being, and am a diehard Pittsburgh sports fan and football/soccer supporter (active board member of the Maine Spurs Supporter Club). Music rounds out my hobbies and Iām always eager to chat obscure punk rock albums of Northern Ireland or Eastern Europe circa 1980s!
It is my vision that our driven team leading Bath at Play can be a community unifier as it relates to developing more child friendly community spaces ā starting with Bath and potentially beyond into the great state of Maine!
