Bath at Play is Official!

Hello Everyone!

We want to share the great news that Bath at Play is now recognized as a charitable organization in the State of Maine as of 8/15/2022 (we only received confirmation of acceptance of our Articles of Incorporation on 10/3/2022)! We had our initial Board of Directors meeting on 10/5/2022 where we nominated our officers and made motions to apply for Federal Tax-Exempt status. Our Bios page has been updated with our officer titles. We have submitted our application for Federal 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status and will patiently wait to hear back. This is a 3 to 6 month process so we hope to start fundraising as a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit in the Spring of 2023. Our Bylaws and other relevant documents are now available here.

We are so very excited to be moving this dream ahead and look forward to being able to start fundraising soon! In the meantime, we will continue to meet with the City of Bath to continue the discussion of where a new community playground can be built.
